Who can attend?

Children’s karate

The early class introduces younger students to karate through structured, age-appropriate training. Children develop fundamental techniques, balance, coordination, concentration and dojo etiquette while progressing at a suitable pace.

Teenagers and adult beginners

You do not need previous martial-arts experience or a particular fitness level before starting. Beginners learn the foundations of Shotokan karate progressively, including basic techniques, kata, controlled partner exercises and practical applications.

Experienced karate practitioners

Higher grades and karateka returning after a break are welcome. If you are transferring from another club or association, contact us so an instructor can recommend the most appropriate session.

What to expect at your first class

  • Wear comfortable sports clothing; a karate uniform is not required initially.
  • Bring a drink and arrive approximately ten minutes early.
